Leo:Leo:
We have to talk about our Science fair project. Whose book is this?
Allan:
It’s mine. We can use it to do our research. What body part or organ are we
going to choose?
Jim:
Let’s see... What about doing a project about the brain?
Leo:
That’s a great idea! First, we have to divide our tasks. Who is going to do
research on the Internet?
Jim:
I can do that!
Leo:
I have a nice poster which shows every part of the brain.
Allan:
Great! We can make a model of it!
Jim:
What does your Science book say about the brain, Allan?
Allan:
The brain is an interesting and complex organ in the human body that looks like
a cauliflower and consists of over ten billion nerve cells. It has two distinct
halves.
Leo:
And it also creates the most interesting thoughts, the most exciting dreams,
the best and the worst emotions.
Jim:
Cool! Let’s start our brain project!
Allan:
But first, let’s grab a bite to eat to keep our brains functioning well.
Jim:
Cool! Let’s start our brain project!

Santa Claus – by that
name, wearing the clothes he wears and with reindeer- first shows up in 1821 in
New York with the poem “The Children’s Friend.”… Santa has hawked all kinds of
things. There’s hardly a vice he didn’t indulge! Cigarettes, of course, and alcohol.
I’ve heard it said that Santa will sell beer, but not the hard stuff. Hardy
–har – I found lots of Santa Scotch ads… The worst Santa movie, for badness so
bad that it is good, is “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.” That’s really a
genuine turkey… Santa Claus represents an intergenerational act of love. For
years, when children are at their sweetest and most grateful, parents give
credit to Santa Claus. It’s remarkable.
